Christmas Eve Dinner: Crawfish and Beer

Earlier today, my husband, Pete, asked me what I wanted for Christmas Eve dinner.  The first thing that came to mind was "crawfish and beer!" Every year, Louisianians, anxiously, await the holiday season. Presents, family get-togethers, Christmas decorating are traditions we all look forward to doing. Accordingly, on top of many of our holiday "to do" list is that first "boiled crawfish, corn and potatoes meal."  We know winter is, officially, here after that initial mudbug feast.

Tonight, my daughter, Cosima, and I enjoyed eight pounds of this Louisiana delicacy and some Abita beer which is brewed in nearby Abita Springs. With our yearly craving satisfied, we are now ready to open our  gifts tomorrow morning.
